Nutrition, Health & Wellness (Other/Part II)

Nutrition/Health/Wellness Tips:

Please note: this is not medical advice. For medical advice, see a physician. All opinions are my own. Mostly, you just have to test what works best for your body, and "adjust" as needed.

Health Coaching Tips--
  • Drink Lemon/Lime Water every MORNING & EVENING
  • Coffee with CINNAMON is good
  • Coffee with preferably almond (or soy) milk is good
  • Avoid dairy
  • Avoid gluten
  • Drink green tea every day
  • Drink tea in the afternoons or evenings (after 8pm)
  • Eat an apple every day

Intermittent Fasting is good occasionally to do
  • 6am-12pm--coffee & lemon water ONLY
  • 12pm (lunch)-8pm (dinner)-- healthy foods (salads, proteins like meat or fish or veggie burgers, or non-dairy yogurt)
  • 8pm (after dinner)-6am [SLEEPING PERIOD]-- NO food or coffee, just lemon water or tea (e.g. green tea)

Best Times to Eat the Following Foods
(for digestion, etc.):

For "glowy" skin:
Best foods I would suggest--broccoli, spinach, grapefruit, green tea, salmon, carrots (too much oil is not good, but occasionally can be good for good skin; also, avocado is not my favorite food, but for those who like it, it's considered a "recommended" food)

Other tips:

  • DON'T eat at midnight/early AM (avoid midnight snacks, etc.). Stick to finishing eating/finishing meal for the day by 8pm.
  • Avoid cake, brownies, ice cream, etc. (gluten, a lot of sugar, bad for you, bad for your skin and digestion, etc.)
  • Try to have protein at every meal (will keep you feeling full longer, and its healthy e.g. hardboiled eggs, fish, etc.)
  • Fill most of plate during meals with colorful veggies (& fruits), & ensure protein as mentioned above
  • Have lots of leafy greens (e.g. spinach)
  • Broccoli and green beans, and other mixed veggies (e.g. with carrots) are a GREAT options to include in your dinner
  • Tabachnik soups are SUPER easy and great to include in dinners
  • Salmon/lox and lemons are great for shiny skin
  • Beans and nuts are great sources of protein, if prefer not eating meat during the week
  • Avoid sugar (and salt)
  • Avoid going to the Vending Machine at work
  • Bring healthy foods to work (to ensure you get the healthy foods you need, and to save $)
  • Avoid chocolate, and 'bready' products, and just gluten in general (e.g. pretzels, etc.)

Beware--foods that cause inflammation:
Eliminate these foods is best (gluten, dairy, sugar, soy, peanuts, and corn).
